Location
This comfortable vacation rental is centrally located on the eastern side of the Kenai Peninsula at MilePost 29 of the Seward Highway in Moose Pass, Alaska. It is nestled in the mountains of the Chugach National Forest, the second largest national forest in the United States. With the views of Upper Trail Lake and the surrounding mountains, you can imagine how this valley was carved by a glacier, so long ago.

Cooper Landing 20 about 25 minutes
Seward 30 about 30 minutes
Soldotna is 65 miles away, the city of Kenai is 75, and Homer is 145 miles from here.
Talkeetna is 210 miles north, and Denali National Park is 335 miles away.
Remember, motor home traffic can sometimes slow you down. Watch out for the other guy who may be passing where it's not safe to do so.
The office is located at Scenic Mountain Air/Alaska Float Ratings, a float plane school and flight service. You can watch float planes take off and land on the lake from your cottage. Directions: When you reach the 35 mph zone, you'll be in Moose Pass.
From Anchorage: Drive south on the Seward Highway. Turn east, left, at Trail Lake Lodge.
From Cooper Landing/Soldotna/Homer: Drive north on the Sterling Highway. Turn right onto the Seward Highway. Turn east, left, at Trail Lake Lodge.
From Seward: Turn east, right, at Trail Lake Lodge.
The office is located next to a small, white church.
Trail Lake Lodge is a non-smoking, full-service bar and restaurant. Estes Bros. is a mom-n-pop store which offers convenience food, espresso, and fresh deli sandwiches. Both of these are just a 1/2 mile down the bike path from the cottage.
