Trail Lake View Luxury Cottage
            Retreat and Vacation Rental

   Retreat and Vacation Rental

April 8, 2010:  This afternoon, as I walk up the three steps to my luxury cottage, the pristine snow sparkles like diamonds. I’m here to clean. The sun is warm on the deck. Looking east over the frozen lake the intense radiance of the snow covered mountains is almost blinding. The pale sky-blue background shows off the jagged, knife-edged peaks as well as the rounded smooth mountain tops. The spruce and hemlock trees are still fairly flocked. It just can’t get any more glorious. Life is good.

May 22, 2010: This afternoon the sun was really warm on the deck. The mountains are still snow capped. Both the violet green and cliff swallows have returned. The lake is now completely thawed with ducks swimming on it. The willows and birch trees are beginning to leaf out. I'm writing this at 9:53 pm and the sun is still on the mountain tops to the east. Life remains good.

June 29, 2010: It is a  little drizzly and cool today. The cottage is warm and cozy with a view of the lake and mountains from the picture window in the living. I continue to keep the flannel sheets on the beds and the teas and coffees well stocked. Life is still good.
